Preparation Instructions:

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS

  • For food safety, quality, and thorough cooking, please follow the instructions below.
  • Keep frozen until ready for use. Fish can be prepared from thawed or frozen. The preferred method is from thawed. To thaw, remove fish from pouch, cover, and refrigerate overnight. To quick thaw, place pouch in cold water for 20 to 30 minutes. Cook fish immediately after thawing.
  • Product is not ready to eat until fully cooked to an internal temperature of 145°F.

CONVENTIONAL OVEN

  • Preheat oven to 375°F.
  • Remove fillet(s) from pouch and place in a single layer, not touching, with flat side down on a foil-lined sided baking pan.
  • Place baking pan on middle rack of oven.
  • From thawed: Bake for 15 – 18 minutes (1 to 2 fillets).
  • From frozen: Bake for 28 – 32 minutes (1 to 2 fillets).

GRILL

  • Spray aluminum foil lightly with cooking oil, then place on grill.
  • Preheat grill to MEDIUM-HIGH (350°F – 375°F).
  • Remove fillet(s) from pouch and place in a single layer, not touching, with flat side down on foil.
  • From thawed: Grill for 10 – 15 minutes (1 to 2 fillets)
  • From frozen: Grill for 20 – 25 minutes (1 to 2 fillets)

Product has been deboned, but as with all fish, there is the potential to find small bones. Due to differences in appliances and quantity prepared, cooking times may vary and require adjustment. Microwaving not recommended. Caution-Product will be hot!

HELPFUL COOKING TIPS FOR PERFECT FISH:

  • For bolder flavor, pour all the marinade in the pouch over the fillet before cooking.
  • Fish thickness may affect cooking time. Thoroughly cooked fish will flake with a fork.
  • Skin is left on for added moisture and ease of cooking but can be easily removed with a spatula after the fish is cooked, before serving.

Not going to buy these again.

Skimpy at only 4 ounces and oddly shaped, doesn’t look like a proper salmon filet. I’ve enjoyed these for years but the filets have been getting more odd-shaped lately.

No more

I am surprised that I don’t get rushed to the emergency when I eat this salmon. It is loaded with salt. I mean LOADED. Are they trying to cover up a bad tasting salmon? I noticed it was too salty from the beginning but just put up with it and would scrape alot of the sauce off and it would be tolerable. I am not buying it anymore. The price is great but not for ruining my health.

I would not buy this salmon again.

It’s too salty, too seasoned and all the ingredients are not listed on the package. Natural flavors: what exactly? People with allergies need to know all the ingredients. I usually buy Coho salmon and not familiar with Keta salmon. The fish itself is tasty and mild but you have to reduce the amount of salt and seasoning on these.

I will NOT buy this product

I have been buying this product for years. I was disappointed the last purchase. Not only it was too salty, it almost send me to the ER. There was a small piece of bone and it was stuck on my tongue.

Stop with the shrink flation!

A few months ago this pack was 10oz, now it’s 8oz an noticeably smaller. Stop shrinking the size and charge what it is worth. Not buying a product if we are still hungry afterwards.

I like the season grilled and steakhouse “Wild” salmon.

However, as one of the other reviews questioned the “bioengineering” stated on the label. Your response was that it is due to the soya sauce used, but soy sauce is not listed as an ingredient. This gives me pause as I avoid bioengineered foods, especially seafood and any meat.

Hi there! “Derived from bioengineering” is actually in reference to ingredients in the marinade, such as soy sauce or corn, NOT the fish. We’re working on updating the packaging to avoid further confusion.
